There is nothing more beautiful than when two cultures come together to celebrate a union of two people in love: Indian fusion wedding in Tuscany. Every couple has a great ‘How We met’ story. This one is certainly as original as the two individuals that created one heart from two; Shanti is from India and Gerard from the US. They met while she was his attending physician. It was love at first sneeze. For their dream wedding, they wanted to find a place that would represent who they are as a couple. They needed a venue where their families could come together to celebrate their special day in a way that would honor both families’ traditions. They decided on Tuscany, for its beautiful setting and Castello di Montegufoni, a medieval castle and a favorite venue of ours, would be the perfect middle of the world setting for three days of celebrations and to incorporate both the Indian wedding ceremony and the Catholic ceremony for Gerard’s family.

The first day of festivities was the Indian wedding tradition of the mehndi ceremony. This is the day when mehndi is applied on the hands and feet of the bride (and in some cases the groom).

The venue didn’t disappoint and it was topped off one day after another with jewel tones in the morning with the Indian ceremony and soft pastels for the Catholic ceremony later in the afternoon complementing the surrounding countryside.
