Martina & Rayan – Understated Elegance In Italy
Our featured bride and groom, Martina and Rayan met while in college and found that they were soulmates as they both love to travel and both love Italy. They happened upon Santi Apostoli Church in Florence during a visit while attending a friend’s wedding. They knew immediately that this would be the perfect place for a ceremony with family and friends.
The church, one of the oldest in Florence, dates back to the 11th century in the Romanesque style hence it boasts High Middle Age features that are rare. It also houses art from Andrea Della Robbia and Giorgio Vasari. The perfect romantic setting.
After, the couple and guests set off to Villa La Vedetta located atop Piazzale Michelangelo for the reception. The panoramic views surrounded by Italian gardens create an unforgettable backdrop for an elegant affair.
As guests arrived welcome cocktails set up in the cool green garden greeted them along with a delightful “Bubble Bar” filled with fresh fruit and bubbly prosecco. A talented jazz trio provided a chill relaxed atmosphere for the guests to mingle and relax.
Dinner was held on the rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the Duomo and Florence.
The decorated chairs for the bride and groom added that special touch
As the sun set guests mingled and danced under the lights that illuminated the terrace while the initials of the happy pair were projected on the front of the villa creating that special magical ambiance!
The bride spared noting in the details; from a cigar table to a gelato stand from Vivoli, everyone had a wonderful experience.
