Civil Weddings

Wedding with civil rite in Tuscany can be held in suggestive frescoed halls and in the ancient courtyards of beautiful town hall palaces and, sometimes, in authorized exclusive locations, such as historic villas, castles, hotels…

In Tuscany there are some very beautiful historic town hall palaces where it’s possible to celebrate one’s wedding with civil rite: Palazzo Vecchio in Florence,  Palazzo Comunale in Siena, Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo,  Palazzi Comunali in San GimignanoVolterra or Cortona

Very sought-after are also the beautiful parks of the elegant villas in Lucca.

Alessia B can deal with all the legal and bureaucratic files so that you can legally get married with the civil rite and without any stress, choosing the location, among the many and exclusive places in Tuscany, that best fits your dreams and needs.

We’ll take care of:

Assistance with all the documents required by Embassies and Consulates to receive the authorization to marry in Italy;

Booking of the Town Hall;

Interpreting Service for the Sworn Declaration and Civil Ceremony

Providing for the legalization of the wedding act;

Selection of various suppliers, photographer, flowers, music,…

Assistant with the Sworn Declaration _ The couple, before the civil ceremony, will have to go to the Town Hall for the Sworn Declaration. In some town halls it is required to make it at least two days before while in others it’s possible to do everything on the same day. The declaration lasts for a maximum of 20 minutes, witnesses are not necessary, but – for foreign couples who don’t speak Italian- it’s obligatory an interpreter to translate the articles of the Italian law.

Assistant with the Civil Ceremony- It is often celebrated by the Mayor; if the couple is foreign the Mayor will be accompanied by the interpreter who will translate the entire rite. We’ll think about everything: every single detail – flowers, music, photographer, guests- will be coordinated by Alessia B.

Civil weddings of foreign couples celebrated in Italy are legally valid and approved also abroad.

Civil rite and Catholic rite.
The Italian law allows to celebrate the civil rite during the Catholic rite in the Church. They can be both celebrated at the same time.

If you wish to get married in Tuscany with civil rite, Alessia B will be by your side in every step and will guarantee you the most complete assistance for the day of your wedding: from legal procedures to the sworn declaration, from the organization of bureaucratic files to the one of the ceremony, the party and the celebration.
